Questions that tell you a lot
How a provider answers matters as much as what they say.
- Who performs this, and what is their license?
- How were they trained for this treatment?
- What device or product is it, specifically?
- What does a series involve?
- What aftercare do I need?
- What happens if something goes wrong?
- What is the total cost before I start?
Before you go
Take ten minutes to jot down a few things. It saves time and helps you get clear answers.
- What you would like to change or ask about.
- Your medical history and current medications.
- Any reactions you have had to skin products or treatments.
- The questions you want answered.
At the end of the consultation, write down what was recommended, the number of sessions and the total cost.
Take your time
There is rarely a good reason to decide about a cosmetic treatment in a single visit. If a provider pushes you to book that day, that tells you something.
Other signs to slow down: no consultation, vague answers about who performs the treatment, or no written cost. You can look up most health licenses on the Texas state board website. A provider who is properly licensed will usually tell you their license type and number if you ask.
A licensed provider decides what is suitable for you. Send a request to begin that conversation.
